A fantastic event … with 90 competitors in total travelling from as far as Ireland.
Port Eynon was a superb venue and big thanks to The Ship Inn for supporting us and helping with a room for our prize giving.
Lots of races including fun cruiser race, 12’6 class men and ladies, 14ft class men and ladies, a very well attended kids race and a SUP fishing competition won with a 3 lb Bass !
Our after party kicked off with a Hog roast put on by the newly refurbished ‘Ship Inn’ a great pub with fantastic local brewed Gower Beer and then later on tunes performed by the local infamous ‘Shoal of Bass’ band.
Special Thanks goes to The SUP GOWER crew who helped put on a fantastic event for paddlers travelling far and wide to attend. My wife Abi, Marlyn & Phil, Tucker, Dan, Debbie, Emily & Alan, Sean, Rob & Kim, Huw & Trey.
To UK SUP clubs who helped implement the organisation – Ali & Mark, Jo and leslie.

On a slightly different and finishing note – I wanted to pay homage to a local Gower and SUP HUT shop rider Female Paddler “Emily King” who over the past 12 months along with help from her husband ‘Alan’ has showed true grit and determination by breaking onto the already revolving wheel of competitive SUP racing and showing a few of the veteran Paddlers ‘what to do with it’
Emily has trained really hard this year and deserves a heap of credit for her performances across all 10 of the UK SUP clubs series races put on across the country. Well done Emily – You RULE !
