NSP COCOMAT – Stand up paddle boards

Thought we would post some pics up of the new Cocomat SUP boards from NSP.

The NSP Coco Mat SUP range has been designed to make paddling fun and easy regardless of your age or skill level. The range consists of 3 sizes catering for surf, cross training, and flat water cruising.

The 10’0 x 29″ is designed for paddlers who like to mix wave riding performance with short distance flat-water paddling. A slightly tapered outline combined with a smooth rocker and a rolled vee bottom makes this board highly responsive in the surf. This board is equally at home as a flat-water paddler for lighter riders and children learning to paddle. Approximate Board Weight: 9.3kg

The 10’2 x 32″ is an incredibly stable all-rounder making it the board of choice for SUP school operators, yoga enthusiasts, and surfers who like to walk the board. The relaxed rocker combined with a full outline and a single-to-double concave strike a balance between glide on flat water and mobility on the waves. If you’re looking for one versatile board, the 10’2″ is the obvious choice. Approximate Board Weight: 11.6kg

The 11’0 x 31″ is another versatile craft renowned for its glide and stability. For these reasons it’s become popular for cross training, exploration, and endurance paddling. Heavier riders and beginners will feel the advantage of the extra volume in this board that offers a stable platform to stand on. For paddlers who like to transition from the lake to the ocean the 11’0″ will catch waves effortlessly. Approximate Board Weight: 10.8kg

NSP CocoMatt SUPs are constructed from a unique technology that uses natural coconut fibers to produce a surfboard with amazing performance, unparalleled strength to weight ratio, and an aesthetic that’s not only original, but also organically beautiful.

If you’re looking for a versatile SUP that’s durable, lightweight, and offers a high level of performance then look no further than the NSP Coco Mat SUP range.

The weight of the boards is great, especially on the 10’2 model, which with it’s width at 32″ will definitely be the most popular, its just a shame the shapes don’t reflect the weight saving , you would expect the brand to release a performance model for this weight saving construction, However I am sure there will be plenty of Happy customers Stand up Paddling on these boards in summer 2013.

  1. I bought an NSPCocomat paddleboard recently after I tried a number of boards and felt no other matched the glide and ease of maneuverabilty. Unfortunately, I lost the main center fin that came with the paddleboard. Needless to say i would like to replace it because it appears that the fin engineering, whether by design or serendipity, go it right. How could it acquire a replacement fin? After scouring the internet,I have found nothing that comes close in dimensions. Thanks in advance.
