Gwendraeth Valley Paddlers Annual Mince Pie Paddle. – 16th December
We will be paddling from The Quay Centre in Carmarthen down to Towy Boat Club in Llangain. This event is open to all paddlers & to any type of non motorised boat. Cost £6, this includes hot cawl, mince pies, hot drinks & entry into the raffle at the finish. Registration from 8.30 am at the Quay Centre. If you need to shuttle cars please meet at the Boat Club in Llangain, shuttle will leave at 9.00 am. All paddlers to be on the water for 9.30 am.
Paddlers are asked to dress for the weather, those of you who have not done this paddle before – warm clothes, gloves, hat, socks inside wetsuit shoes, wind proof cagoul. And of course Christmas fancy dress for paddler & boat will make friends smile (the more tinsel the better!) There will be a prize for the best decorated boat.
If you need to hire kit or boats please email us well in advance so that we can allocate kit. Hire of kit £3.
Please email us if you would like to join us for the day so that we can ensure there is plenty of cawl.
This promises to be a great event, a good time to forget about Christmas shopping & catch up with old & new friends. Last year there was about 65 paddlers on the water in small kayaks, open boats, sea kayaks & sit on tops.
