The Welsh Surfing Federation – The National Governing Body of the sport of Surfing in Wales has just announced it will be holding a WSF Stand up Paddle event on the 5th/6th April 2014 at Langland Bay south Wales to select a small team for the ISA World stand up paddle and Paddleboard championships in Nicaragua in May. The WSF is affiliated to both the International Surfing Association and the European Surfing Federation, and is responsible for promoting the sport, organising National Championships and selecting teams to represent Wales at an International level.
This is exciting news for the Welsh stand up paddle community who numbers are amongst the highest in the U.K across recreational, touring and surfing disciplines.
More information can be found on the WSF website, currently the competition will feature a SUP surfing element , but organisers are hoping to put on a distance Comp too.
