So, now that september rolls in and the summer finally draws to a close , we look back at the best summer ‘SUP’ has seen on UK shores.
With a blast of hot weather and calm conditions, I would think that more people have been introduced to stand up paddling this 2013 season than any other before.
Autumn is creaping up on us and with that hopefully september swells and with warm water still surrounding the U.k from our hot summer its time to think about new SUP boards.
Fanatic have just released their 2014 Allwave lineup – The Allwave is designed for the beginner to Intermediate SUP board rider .The Fanatic Allwave focus is on easy paddling and wave-catching ability for any size of rider. The Wide outlines (9’5 & 9’10 ) suiting first-timers and the new shapes for 2014 (8’11, 9’1 and 9’5) with a narrowed nose shape and lower Apex rail for surf-style and flat water paddling .
Lighter weight paddlers and those who want stability but also a radical performance based board with Extra nose kick and Fish Tail choose the 8’6 x 30 with 130 litres.
All the Fanatic Allwave boards for 2014 feature the Ledged carry handle which really helps in carrying the board if the tide is out and you have a long way to walk !
The 8’6 and 9’10 shapes stay the same for 2014 with graphics upgrades and the carry handle
The 8’11, 9’1 and 9’5 boards all feature a rounded squash tail .
