If you’re a keen Stand up paddle surfer you’ll either have come from a Surfing background, another watersport or neither.
However, One thing you may all have tried is trying to surf on your SUP without the Paddle… achievable yes.. but hard work!
Trying to turn SUP boards can be hard work without your paddle to help.
‘Gong’ a brand I’m very passionate about as you may or may not know came foremost from a surfing background and soon in 2012 the French brand will be releasing a line of Surfboards specially aimed for the SUP surfer who fancies revisiting their surfing roots after all this time brandishing a Paddle.
The new surfboard line aims to bridge the gap between conventional surfboards and SUP boards offering the rider more volume and width which we all know is not a hinderance after riding SUP boards.
The boards wider plan shapes and volume will mix with precise rails with little volume giving the rider a board which will catch every wave you intend to and then performance and speed once your riding it …much like we all do when we SUP!
