Fridays Bay 6k SUP race was a successful little event with 7 competitors entering the downwind run from Knab rock to Slip bridge Swansea.
5 of the 7 were on 12’6 or below boards, 2 people raced on unlimited class 12’6 and over including Chris ‘Guts’ Griffiths on a 14 ft Surftech and Ian Richards on a K15 Starboard.
The race went well with Richard Morton currently leading the distance BSUPA series taking an early lead and held onto it for non pressured finish. The unlimited class started 40 second after the first horn and ‘Guts’ was quick to regain time and distance finishing 2nd .Ian on his Monster K15 cruised in for 3rd.
Thanks to everyone who entered and stayed for the BBQ. A big thankyou to my misses Abi, Kim, Steve and Tim for getting things sorted beachside and taking times. Roll on the next Bay 6k
